(WBIR) An East Tennessee man known for his psychic ability around the world passed away Monday.

Bobby Drinnon's website confirmed he lost his fight with cancer Monday, March 3.

"For the sake of the people in his life who loved him-his family, his friends, and his clients-Bobby fought for every last day. To the end, he wanted to be here for anyone who needed him. Bobby never lost his sense of humor, his zest for life, and, most of all, his love of people. He was dear to many, and we know that his loss is as much theirs-perhaps even yours-as it is ours," wrote the website.

For many years, Drinnon used his gift to help people find their right paths in life. Drinnon told WBIR's Abby Ham that he learned how to accept all people as a young boy in Rogersville.

YOUR STORIES: Bobby Drinnon

"I am a very open-minded Christian or a free-thinking Christian, I like to call myself. I believe in Jesus Christ. I think he was our savior, but I'm open to Buddhism, Hinduism and Jewish and I love all of them," said Drinnon during his Your Stories interview with Ham.

Drinnon also assisted law enforcement in numerous missing person cases.

Friends and family will have a public celebration of life service on Sunday March 23 at 3 p.m. at Angelos' at the Point on Douglas Lake in Dandridge. They're asking for donations to the Bobby Drinnon Scholarship Fund for All Saints Episcopal School in Morristown in lieu of flowers.

Memorial gifts should be sent to:
