TBI: McMinn Co. woman charged and arrested with setting fire to Etowah gas station in 2021

The TBI said Holly Danielle Lunsford, 43, was charged with arson, burglary and vandalism after she was accused of setting fire to a gas station on Tennessee Avenue.

ETOWAH, Tenn. — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said an Etowah woman was charged with burning down a gas station in McMinn County in 2021.

According to a release, Holly Danielle Lunsford, 43, was charged with arson, burglary and vandalism after authorities said she set fire to a Marathon gas station on Tennessee Avenue on Aug. 7, 2021.

A McMinn County Grand Jury returned indictments against her on Nov. 21, 2023, according to TBI and she was found on Jan. 26 when the Etowah Police Department pulled her over in an unrelated traffic stop. Police identified her and arrested her on charges related to the arson.

She was booked into the McMinn County Jail where she is being held on a $490,000 bond.
