Officials searching for missing Middle Tennessee teen in Kentucky landfill as a 'precautionary measure'

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued an Amber Alert for Sebastian Rogers in late February.

SUMNER COUNTY, Tenn. — Sumner County deputies are searching a landfill in Hopkins County where trash went from missing 15-year-old Sebastian Rogers' neighborhood, according to Chief Deputy Eric Craddock from the Sumner County Sheriff's Office.

According to WSMV in Nashville, the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office told them that investigators are searching the landfill with help from the Kentucky State Police officers.

“There is no specific information that indicates evidence related to the search for Sebastian may be there; rather it is an investigative, precautionary measure to eliminate possible options and questions," Chief Deputy Craddock said.

Kentucky State Police told WSMV4 that some of their detectives are at a landfill in the 400 block of Claude Young Road which is the Hopkins County Regional Landfill.
