Lady Vols' guard/forward Tess Darby returning for a fifth year

Her 170 career three-pointers rank fifth all-time in program history.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee Women's Basketball guard/forward Tess Darby announced on Friday she will return for a fifth year.

Darby is fifth all-time in career three-pointers in program history. She has made 170 of them. Her 37.3% from behind the arc ranks tenth all-time in program history.

She appeared in all 33 games for the Lady Vols in a season where the team made it to the NCAA Tournament Round of 32.

She scored in double-digits four times and had nine points in five other games. She was second on the team with 44 made three-pointers. Her percentage dropped from her junior year to her senior year from behind the arc, going from 40.9% to 32.4%.

Darby's sister Edie is a sophomore on the team. Tess makes the decision to stay another season as the Lady Vols bring in a new head coach in Kim Caldwell.
