Fulton hoops star Tyler Lee signs with Central Arkansas

The 2024 3A Mr. Basketball winner led the Falcons to back-to-back state titles the past two seasons.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Fulton basketball star and 2024 3A Mr. Basketball winner Tyler Lee officially signed on to continue his career at the University of Central Arkansas on Wednesday afternoon.

Lee helped the Falcons to back-to-back titles in 2023 and 2024 and will play for the Bears, who compete at the DI level in the Sun Belt conference.

The standout forward initially committed to play at the University of Alabama-Huntsville, but decommitted in January to explore other options. As fate would have it, former UAH head coach John Shulman got the head coaching job at Central Arkansas and reached out to Lee again.

"For him to come back like that was a very special moment," Lee said. "I'm blessed. I didn't expect to get this far, I'm not going to lie to you."

Shulman has roots in East Tennessee and played college basketball at ETSU in his hometown of Johnson City.
