KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Sevier County Emergency Management Agency has reported several closed roads due to severe storms late Sunday evening into early Monday morning.
The first round of severe storms hit the East Tennessee region late Sunday evening, bringing large hail and strong winds. The second round of storms then started to impact the region, putting several counties into Tornado Warnings.
The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Sevier until 11:30 a.m. The Sevier County EMA posted the following impacted roads as of 10 a.m.:
- 3001 N Clear Fork - Tree(s) down
- 2327 Dripping Springs Road - Tree(s) down
- Douglas Dam Road/Crystal View Drive - Tree(s) down
- Allensville/Kellum Creek - Tree(s) down
- 3015 Pittman Center Road - Tree(s) down
- 2521 Jada Lane - Tree(s) down
- 3629 Boogertown Road/Oldham Creek Baptist Church - Tree(s) down
- 1768 Ridgecrest Road - Tree(s) down
- 772 Cain Hollow Road - Tree(s) down
- Old Valley Road/Waldens Creek Road - Tree(s) down
- Priscilla Heights Lane/Wears Valley Road - Tree(s) down
- 790 Sharp Hollow Road - Tree(s) down
- Russie Gap/Wears Valley Road - Tree(s) down
- Russie Gap/Old Valley Road - Tree(s) down
- Jones Cove Road/Jones Road - Tree(s) down
- Shell Mountain Road/Jones Cove Road - Power line down
- Russia Gap/Wears Valley Road - Power line down
- Little Cove Road/Olde Tyme Way - Rockslide
- Ridge Road curve before compost plant - closed
Officials want to remind you not to attempt to drive over downed power lines or trees. If you come across a flooded road, turn around.
