KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Appalachian Mountain Bike Club said it is hosting a "Mega Work Party" on Saturday, inviting the community out to Concord Park to spend time together while improving the bike club's trails.
People of all skill levels are invited to attend, the bike club said. The fun is expected to kick off at around 9 a.m. on May 4 and will last until around 12 p.m. It said it would provide tools for the work party and participants should bring water, gloves, safety glasses and sturdy footwear.
Lunch will also be provided at 12 p.m. by Harpers Bike Shop, according to organizers. Cold beverages from Creature Comforts Brewing will also be available.
Organizers also said the event is expected to happen rain or shine.
