Applicants fill Jefferson Co. High School hoping to work for Dollywood in 2022 season

The park announced that it was looking for anyone who wanted to help out during the upcoming season and will host several hiring events during February.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Applicants filled Jefferson County High School on Saturday dressed in their finest clothes and résumés in hand, hoping to land a job with Dollywood.

The company announced that it was searching for people to help out with the 2022 season and said it was planning to host several hiring events through February. During these events, applicants can learn about available positions and get help applying for them.

According to the company's website, they are also searching for actors and singers who want to perform for attendees at the park.

The event at Jefferson County High School lasted from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and other events are planned for the same time. They are listed below:

  • Saturday, Feb. 19: Seymour Heights Christian Church
  • Saturday, Feb. 26: Sevier County High School

Applicants can also go to Dollywood's website to find information about different roles and submit an application. According to the website, they are searching for people to take tickets, help with parking drive the tram, help run sales at the park, and prepare food.

They are also looking for a lifeguard to work at the park's Splash Country, a director of organizational development and communications, as well as leather and blacksmithing craft makers.

Information about wages was not immediately available, but the company said full-time employees will be eligible for a benefits package and the company can help with childcare.
