BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn. — The family of Cheyenne Tonisha Shropshire, 22, said Tuesday they received a part of her remains around four years after she was found dead in a Blount County field.

She was reported missing in September 2018 and her remains were later found in March 2020. Her death was ruled a homicide by forensics experts at the Knox County Regional Forensic Center. Four years later, the Blount County Sheriff's Office is still offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in her case.

Her family said now that some of her remains have been returned, they can plan a celebration of life service.

“I would say we are thankful for the community for always keeping her in mind and praying about it— and giving us tips. Please continue to be vigilant and to give us any information they know to help us prosecute the monster who did this," said one member of her family.
