KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A serious crash shut down a busy Knoxville roadway Friday morning, according to the Knoxville Police Department.
KPD said that around 6:55 a.m., a Scion XD attempted to make a left turn from Woodburn Drive onto N. Northshore Drive.
The Scion was struck by a Honda Accord driving north on N. Northshore Drive, according to KPD.
The driver of the Scion was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and is listed in critical condition, KPD said.
