UNION COUNTY, Tennessee — A Kentucky man drowned in Union County on New Year's Day, according to the Union County Sheriff's Office.
Dispatchers received a call about the drowning around 8:36 a.m. When officials arrived, the man was recovered by a bystander and a member of the Sharps Chapel Volunteer Fire Department, according to UCSO.
Life-saving measures were administered, but were unsuccessful, UCSO said.
It's unclear where the man drowned. The incident is still under investigation, according to UCSO.
